AUv3vocal chainiPad music

What is an AUv3 vocal chain on iPad?

A plain-language guide to using a focused vocal chain inside AUM, GarageBand, Logic Pro for iPad, and other AUv3 hosts.

An AUv3 vocal chain is a set of real-time vocal processing controls that runs as an Audio Unit effect inside an iPhone or iPad host app.

VoxFix AUv3 is designed around one small job: make a vocal feel cleaner, steadier, and more forward without asking the creator to build a full chain from separate EQ, compressor, de-esser, pitch, and reverb plugins.

Where it fits

The standalone VoxFix app is for previewing the sound, learning the controls, checking levels, and unlocking Pro.

The AUv3 extension is for the actual host workflow. In a host such as AUM, GarageBand, Logic Pro for iPad, Loopy Pro, or Cubasis, VoxFix can sit on a microphone channel or vocal audio track as an effect.

Why five controls

VoxFix uses five musical controls:

  • Clean for reducing rumble, noise, and muddiness.
  • Tune for light, scale-aware correction of one lead vocal at a time.
  • Presence for forwardness, compression, and density.
  • De-ess for sharp sibilance control.
  • Space for room, delay, and reverb blend.

The goal is not to hide every technical decision. The goal is to make the first adjustment understandable enough that a creator can hear the before/after quickly.

What it is not

VoxFix is not a full DAW, stem separator, or cloud AI music generator. The first release keeps real-time audio local on device and focuses on the vocal chain.
